insuremykids® Adventure Contest Official Contest Rules
1. Eligibility
This Contest is open to all Canadian residents (except those residing in the
provinces of Manitoba and Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in
his/her province or territory of residence, except employees (and members
of their immediate families and households of such employees) of the Company,
and related companies, agents, the promotional agency and all of their
respective affiliates, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees,
agents, representatives, successors and assigns.
Online entries received after 11:59 PM ET on November 15, 2010 will be
considered null and void and will not be eligible for the prize draws.
Entry forms shall be subject to verification and shall be null and void
if they are found to not have been submitted in accordance with these
contest rules.
2. How to Enter
To enter the Contest, visit www.insuremykids.com and fully complete the
Official On-line Electronic Entry Form. By clicking the “Submit” button,
your entry will be entered into the Contest draw. Limit one (1) entry per
household. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on November 15, 2010.
There is NO PURCHASE NECESSARY for contest entry.
This on-line Contest starts on August 1, 2010 at 12:00 AM ET and
ends on November 15, 2010 at 11:59 PM ET (the "Contest Period"), at
which time no further entries will be accepted.
3. Prizes
A. Grand Prize:
One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of a Disney Package for
a family of up to 4 people to Walt Disney World® (Florida) or Disneyland®
(California). The destination of the travel prize will be awarded by the Reliable
Life Insurance Company (herein referred to as the “Company”) based on the winner's
province/territory of residence in Canada– a trip to Disneyland® in California
will be awarded if the winner resides west of Manitoba. A trip to Walt Disney World®
Florida will be awarded if the winner resides in Ontario or east of Quebec. The
Grand Prize includes roundtrip economy airfare for four (4) from the closest major
Canadian gateway from the winner's city of residence providing a direct flight to
either of Orlando or Los Angeles; round trip transfers; transportation to and from
the hotel; 7 nights consecutive accommodations based on quadruple occupancy at
a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® hotel (as per the Company's discretion);
length of stay Park Hopper passes for 4; Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.
Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,000 CAD.
All personal and other expenses not specified (including but not limited to:
transportation to and from the departure airport, ground transportation; airport
taxes; telephone, fax or cable charges; personal services and expenses such as
laundry, valet, room service; meals; gratuities; optional tours; insurance; medical
travel documents; and other incidental costs and any other costs not specifically
stated herein as being included) are the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner
and his/her guests. The winner and his/her guests must have a valid passport and
the right to travel internationally for the duration of the travel. The Grand Prize
winner must provide faxed proof of identification prior to claiming of prize. The
Grand Prize winner and his/her guests are responsible for all required medical and
travel related necessities (including insurance and inoculations) and/or required
travel documentation. The Company is not responsible should any winner and his/her
guests be unable to travel internationally. A valid major credit card must be
presented upon check-in wherever hotel forms part of the Grand Prize. The Grand
Prize winner and his/her guests must depart together from the same airport, and
are responsible for reporting to the major Canadian gateway on the date of
departure. The trip must be completed no later than December 20, 2011. Travel
arrangements for the trip are subject to availability, any travel restrictions
and confirmation of reservations. Blackout dates apply. Once confirmed, neither
the Grand Prize winner nor his/her guests may make changes to travel dates. The
Company reserves the right to select airline(s) at its sole discretion and to
substitute or change the package exclusions as the Company sees fit without notice.
The Company will not be responsible for cancellations for any reason or by any
person or entity or for other factors beyond the reasonable control of the Company
which prevents the Grand Prize or any part of the Grand Prize from being fulfilled.
In any such event, the Grand Prize winner may be provided with a substitute or cash
equivalent, at the discretion of the Company, at which point, the Grand Prize or
applicable portion thereof, will be forfeited.
Once the travel arrangements have been finalized, any costs associated with any changes
brought on by the contest winner are the responsibility of the contest winner.
B. Secondary Prizes:
Ten (10) Secondary Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a NintendoTM Wii
Gaming Console (complete with 2 games). Approximate retail value of each Secondary
Prize is $325 CAD.
4. How to Win
On November 22, 2010 in Hamilton, Ontario, 11 eligible entrants will be
selected by random draw. The first entry selected will be eligible to win the
Grand Prize. The remaining 10 entries selected will be eligible to win 1 of 10
Secondary Prizes.
Starting on November 23, 2010 attempts will be made to contact the
entrants selected as eligible for the Grand Prize and Secondary Prizes, at the
telephone number or e-mail address supplied, as indicated on the Official On-line
Electronic Entry Form, between 9:00 AM ET and 5 PM ET for a period of 5 (five)
business days. If an eligible entrant cannot be contacted within the allotted time,
he/she is no longer eligible to win and another entrant will be drawn and the process
of contacting the new entrant will be repeated. No communication will be entered
into except with the eligible entrants.
In order to be declared a winner and in order to receive a prize, potential winners
will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without
assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, and potential winners must
complete a Release and Indemnity form within seven (7) business days or the prize
will be forfeited, potential winner disqualified and a replacement winner will be
randomly selected at the Company's discretion.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Official On-line Electronic
Entry Forms received during the Contest Period. One prize per household. The
Company reserves the right to reschedule, cancel or modify the contest draw. No
responsibility is assumed by the Company for any inability of a potential entrant
to successfully enter any draw for any reason.
5. General Rules
All decisions regarding this on-line contest and the selection of winners remain
with the Company and their promotional agency and are final. The decision of the
official contest judges in respect of all matters pertaining to the contest,
including without limitation, eligibility, validity, contents, and/or disqualification
of an entry, shall be final and legally binding without right of appeal. Awarding of
the prizes is subject to verification and compliance with these Official Contest
Rules. Allow approximately eight (8) to ten (10) weeks for verification and
shipment of Secondary Prizes.
Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No prize substitution
will be made, but the Company reserves the right to make a prize substitution of
equivalent or greater value in the event a prize is unavailable for reasons beyond
the control of the Company.
The Company reserves the right to reschedule, cancel or modify this on-line contest
for any reason, including in the event of technical corruption due to virus or other
technical problems. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures of game play, etc.)
does not constitute proof of delivery. All entries become the property of the Company
and in no case shall be returned.
The Company reserves the right to prohibit an entrant from participating in the
contest and/or winning a prize, if, in the sole discretion of the Company, it
determines that the entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation
of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices
(including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse
or threaten or harass any other entrants or the Company. The Company reserves the
right to disqualify any entrant failing to comply with these Official Contest Rules
or cooperate in any investigation or inquiry concerning such compliance. Any
attempt, by an entrant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or
to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest, including but not limited
to any fraudulent claims, is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such
an attempt be made, the Company reserves the right to seek remedies and damages
from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law. Participants
engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified and will forfeit any
prizes won. The Company reserves the unfettered right, in its sole and absolute
discretion, to disqualify any entries that it suspects were generated by script,
macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means, or otherwise violate
the Official Contest Rules.
If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be
deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address
provided at time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural
person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access or online service
provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the
domain associated with the submitted email address.
By participating in this contest, all entrants and/or winners accept and agree
to these Official Contest Rules and assume liability for injuries caused, or
claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, by the acceptance, possession,
or use of any prize awarded, including but not limited to claims/damages for
personal injury, or property damage. No liability or responsibility is assumed
by the Company for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications,
responses, replies or any computer, online, telephone hardware, software or technical
malfunctions that my occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may
affect the transmission or non-transmission of an entry. The Company is not responsible
for any incorrect of inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by
any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by
any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest.
The Company assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line
failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of,
entries. The Company is not responsible for any injury or damage to an entrant
or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading
materials in this Contest.
By entering, the Grand Prize Winner, his/her guests and all other prize winners
agree to sign a standard Release and Indemnity Form, confirming compliance with
the Official Contest Rules and releasing the Company and its respective affiliate
companies, advertising and promotions agencies, contest prize suppliers, and their
respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any liability in
connection with their participation in the Contest, or their acceptance,
possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize.
By entering this on-line contest all winners agree to the Company's use of their name,
comments, photograph and other likeness for publicity purposes and grant the Company
any and all rights to said use without compensation and must execute a Declaration in
this regard.
Entrants grant the Company the right to: (a) use his or her personal information for
the purpose of administering the Contest; (b) use his or her name and his or her city
and province of residence for publicity purposes, including in connection with the
Contest website, other related websites and / or any other media now known or hereafter
devised. Personal information will not be provided to any third party other than as
provided for in these Contest Rules. Entrants grant the Company and third party agents
the right to: (a) contact them for the purposes of conducting any survey; and (b) notify
them of any future contest. The Company and third party agents of the Company will protect
all personal information in a manner that is consistent with the Privacy Policy of the
Company which is available at: Reliable Life Privacy Policy.
These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to applicable federal,
provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest Rules are subject to
change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial or
municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Company.
